Online Conferences

Over the past two years, the Center has welcomed over 1000 people from 40 countries as our virtual guests for our annual online conferences.

Our inaugural 2004 conference hosted over 600 people from 50 countries coming together - entirely online - to explore the bold question of how business can be an agent of world benefit. The conference site became a vibrant discussion forum, where participants shared exemplar stories of business innovation and raised provocative questions about the purpose of business.

The second online conference in 2005 brought together over 530 voices from 30 countries to look at how management education can be shaped to help create socially responsible business leaders of tomorrow. The rich dialogue and inquiry that emerged when people from around the world were provided a forum for collaborating brought the online space to life.

In an attempt to continue supporting connections between organizations and individuals who are interested in exploring how business can be an agent of world benefit, the Center is committed to offering an annual online conference. Using a collaborative virtual space created by the Center's technology partners at iCohere, Inc., these events offer a unique environment where participants can attend from their homes or offices around the world as their schedules permit. Attendees to these conferences are able to access and download keynote and workshop presentations then view them at their convenience. Attendees to these conferences are able to access and download keynote and workshop presentations to view at their convenience. Additionally, keynotes and workshop speakers are often available for questions & answers via a live chat feature. Within the conference space, attendees are also able to enjoy many features commonly associated with traditional conferences, including "hallway" conversations, where participants can engage in threaded dialogue with others, visit the conference exhibition hall, network with others, as well as have the opportunity to create their own "poster" sessions, convene live discussions, and more.

Each year, the Center chooses a particular theme to explore in more detail through this online forum. Next year's conference topic has not yet been determined. We welcome any ideas for a topic you would like us to consider. Please e-mail suggestions us at:
